I have been experimenting with AI traffic for the Mesaba Route. The single-ended sidings are a problem as mentioned some time ago.If you drive or back into a siding or a depot Y, the AI train approaches, but stops at a red and that is it. I also tried having the driven train start in a siding and an AI train to pass. In the opposite direction seems OK, but dependent upon timing and distances, but in the same direction - nothing, presumably because the driven train is in the signal section and preventing the AI from entering the section.I imagine that traffic was not that busy on the Mesaba and that static consists in some sidings would serve well enough.Whatever the limitations, I think the Mesaba route is great, with fine graphics and a good frame rate.Eric in UK

RE: AI traffic on Mesaba Electric

I think one of the activity problems on the Mesaba is the fact that I used all manual switches on the main line. I'm in the process of replacing all mainline switches with automatics, and that should help on the activities. With the latest Xtracks, even the tram switches are available as automatics, so it should help. Thanks for the comment about the route, but the fps has dropped drastically lately. It may be my machine however, but I think the latest DirectX may have killed it.
