Anyone know what became of the San Diego-Tiajuana route someone had started building some months back? It looked fantastic in the screen shots the guy posted.Rich

RE: San Diego

Rich,It's a shame your post got overlooked. I was wondering the same thing myself and did a search and found your message. I haven't heard anything about that route in a while either, so maybe the builder is still working on it, or got a little sidetracked (excuse the pun...hehe) with other things. The other possibility is a major meltdown with the route editor....hopefully not, but that does happen and a lot of great routes have been lost that way . I've had to redo my route before because of that, and so I learned early on to make a backup copy of it. You might want to post your message on the route builder's board, since the Traction board tends to get overlooked sometimes.

RE: San Diego

Hi Guys, Sorry for taking to long to answer but I've been away from the forums for a bit. The San Diego Trolley route is coming along slowly but surely. The route is about 90% done but I still have a few hurdles to get over to make things look right. Here are a couple of recent pics:

RE: San Diego

Hey John ... I've still got some Machaca's in my freezer from my last trip... Apparently the father (Roberto) died recently leaving his kids a big IRS bill (Inheritance Tax). They sold several of the stores, but there are still a few left. They opened a new one by Ontario Airport. The menu is not quite the same but still good. I have a copy of the menu and will be heading out to Ranch Bernardo for a wedding in May you I might be able to bring you a souvenir or two!!JetBlue is offering Atlanta to Long Beach runs for $99 each way!!(Road Trip?)Robert

Robert, Speaking of road trip, we are planning a trip to Cordele, GA with the group in Atlanta to ride the SAM Shortline. Date is April 19th. Let me know if you are interested. If I got out to Long Beach, it would be a road trip to San Diego and all the RR stuff to see and do. Could spend a week down there. Rancho Bernardo eh, couple of good winerys there.
