Does anyone know where I can find the source file for the PCC car in either 3dmax or gmax format? I would like to create some custom versions of it and can't locate the source file. TIA

The source for my repaints of PCCs is Matt Harter of Boston. He is the talented 3D creator of the PCC carbodies & trucks. Presently there are two MSTS PCC versions available, the generic all-electric model and the Boston subway model with left-hand doors and roof shroud. See Matt's site at http://www.fastmodel.com/models for other models in various formats. Naturally, I would welcome other PCC variations as well as yourself as there were many. A lot of improvising can be done by skinning. The unusual undercarriages on the narrow-gauge Los Angeles PCC are one example. This will be available soon, after thorough testing for visual bugs.Frederick Dreany

I created the geometry of the PCC car in NewTek Lightwave, then did the final setup for Train Simulator in 3dCanvas. I could send you the Lightwave File in 3dsMax format, but we might have to mess around with translation settings to get the texture maps to work properly. I have a copy of Gmax, so I'll work on it.I also have the interior view geometry and textures I can send you. You'll find my contact info at http://www.fastmodel.com

Note: The LA streetcar pictured above has been already uploaded to the file library. There was also a change made to the rear of the unit as it seems that the green area dipped down to the beltrail and the area surrounding the rear window was white instead of green as shown above. See new screenshot under "LAs" section. Again, Matt, thanks for sharing your excellent 3D PCC model with us.Frederick Dreany
