RE: No...

I don't think the Traction forum is dying at all. In fact, I think it seems like there are actually even more people interested in trolley and interurban lines lately. What is probably going on is that some of these forums sort of overlap and people aren't sure where to post a message. The Traction forum can easily be confused with the Route Building forum, for example. I've seen a lot of messages lately in the Route forum that could just as easily been posted here. I'm working on the Pacific Electric Arrowhead line right now, and I've been posting most of my messages related to it on the Route Building forum. But Traction posters would definitely be interested in something like that too, especially the PE fans in southern California.Chris

Future Cirque Du Soleil musician. (or Metra engineer! )

RE:

Multiple people have different interests, some may be mainline, heavyhaul or even intermodal. Some, shortline, short run, local trains. These guys have my utmost respect. They are literally creating an era I missed entirely. Albet not as popular as the other forums, these guys work just as hard, and I commend them for that. I like to see what goes on in here, its mostly an element of curiosity for me. Although I watch the development of Waynes London and Port Stanley in earnest (no offence to any of you guys in the Traction forum please). I live in London, was born in St Thomas, and have been to Mackies in Port Stanley and work on a Reading T-1 Northern that is parked in St Thomas beside a L&PS boxcab electric and a under restoration interurban car.Dead, far from it, these guys have more talent that alot of us, as they have to look alot harder for the material. Do they ever, and the results are spectacular.Keep it up all of ya.Jon
