The ME has been successfully loaded into the file library in five parts for dialup convenience. One small glitch--after unzipping you will find two sets of shape files that should have gone into the route, but ended up separate. Move the two sets of shape files (crossing_sign01 and -02) into the shapes directory of the route. Any questions, my email address is in the readme file. Any feedback would be appreciated.

RE: Mesaba Electric - finally!

I installed the route, and I like it a lot, however, i have found one small problem with it. It is failing to load the signals from US2 and I get error mesasages every now and then. Any way to fix this? Other than that i LOVE it. Keep up the great work!Jake Mensel

RE: Mesaba Electric - finally!

I don't know how to fix this, as the installme.bat file tells that those signals are supposed to be copied. Try just copying all the signal .s and .sd files from USA2 and see if that works.

RE: Mesaba Electric - finally!

Had the same problem with the signals, but copying them over manually fixed it for me.One more question, though - how do I get SkyConductor to work with this route? I added the route to the SC update queue with the RouteAdder utility, but when I then run SC to update the sky backgrounds, nothing happens. I also tried replacing the Envfiles folder with one from another route entirely, but I got the dreaded "train world initialization failed" afterwards and had to restore the Envfiles folder from the Mesaba ZIP files.
This is a very nice route, though!

Copy the "editor.env" file from the envfiles section of another route into the mesaba envfiles folder. This problem was just discovered.

RE: Mesaba Electric - finally!

I guess that I am not the sharpest kid on the block. However, I did run the install, and accordingly to the folder, it loaded. However, when I run the main program, I cannot see this territory. Now for the usual "Stupid" question. What is "Xtracks 3" and update, as well as TSECTION.dat? Do I need these files? if so, Where can I find them. I am looking forward to getting this route installed, and learn something about computers, besides playing with them.Eddie

RE: Mesaba Electric - finally!

Eddie,
Go to the file library of this web site, sign in, click on "Search..." and search for xtracks. You are looking for version 3.3. Follow the instructions TO THE LETTER, and the route will work.
