Now friends with Con-Builder(v1.5.1), the Portland Railway Light & Power J.G.Brill v.02 is uploaded for your city and suburban traction needs, with improved cabview and sounds and other minor changes...... This is part-II of the six-unit car order of 1903, for the Oregon Water Power & Railway Co. I plan on all six. My sincerest thanks to Chuck Zeiler for his assistance in this project. Also to Dick van den Hoven for clearing up the incompatibility vexation with Con-Builder.I hope you will enjoy it.Thanks,Tim(Note: Scenes are from my route in progress, "Portland Traction", .01% complete. The Soda fountain is also a work in progress)
RE: A Better Brill Streetcar was Uploaded This Morn....
I haven't got the latest version yet from the library, but here is one of your Brills working through heavy traffic on the St. Thomas Municipal Railway. My rough paint job doesn't do justice to your fine workmanship here, but the car does look great. BTW, the STMR was actually a 3 footer. Some narrow gauge trolly's could be an interesting variation - as if we don't have enough to do already! Thanks for the great car. Wayne
RE: A Better Brill Streetcar was Uploaded This Morn....
Hey, looks great! Thanks for sharing this with us. I'd like to see some more re-paints. Actually Wayne, I had plans for a narrow-gauge Brill, 42" gauge to be exact, to build the Council Crest cars that ran in Portland some fifty years. They will have to be 36" gauge to fit the XTracks. Then again, it might be more expediant to just leave it at standard gauge, and not mess with the lack of dynamic narrow-gauge track. But, like you so rightly put it.."as if we don't have enough to do already" !!!!Cheers!!!Tim
