Hi all,After a particularly nasty incident with my computer, I had to reinstall MSTS. When I loaded my traction cars, I was horrified to discover that the left and right cabviews are out of perspective. I worked out that as I'd installed a cam hack, the original views were out, so I built the cabviews suited to the different perspective view. Of course, that explains why the default cabs had out of perspective left and right views before! A big apology to everyone for uploading poor cabview files, I'll fix them and upload better ones asap. Is it a problem on other peoples' machines?I've been a bit quiet lately due to family problems, and a real drought with TSM. I'm back into it, trying to finish a few projects for people (L&PS ex-Milwaukee car, TM scenery, an LRV and my Victorian Railways passenger car, among others) so I hope to be back with more soon.Oh yeah, big kudos to Tim Muir for uploading those terrific cars. I finally installed the Brill car last night and was blown away with the sounds and look of the car. I'm d/ling the steeplecab as we speak. The traction scene has come lightyears since the early days! All the best, Matt
Matt, I was starting to wonder what happened to you. Attached are three cabviews from the ME10, FYI. Looking left: Ahead: and right: The only problem, at least with this car, is that in the right view, the cornerpost takes up a lot of the picture. Is your ordination still on schedule? Dave
Hi Dave,Thanks for the feedback. In the bottom pic, you can see what I mean. The bottom sill of the side window is not parallel with the tracks, so the sideviews look as if they are skewed outwards. It really bugs me with the curveside right view, it is all out of kilter. I'll upload a fix this weekend. My ordination is still on schedule, two weeks from today. That's another thing keeping me away from TSM, all of the preparations, along with my regular work. I'm having a couple of weeks off later in the year so I'll get some time to play with my toys! One of the upsides of reinstalling is that I got new video card drivers which took an high-poly train from less than 10fps to over 20fps, so there is good to be found in everything!Cheers, Matt
