I am glad to see some message traffic on the North Shore Line. It sure has a big following. It is my second system that I intend to pursue. Think of how neat it would be being in the motorman's cab of a TM 1100 waiting at 6th and Clybourn as an Electroliner pulls out of the North Shore Terminal. Also, how about an activity of the fan trip of TM1121 on the North Shore Line on December 4, 1949. This fan trip is pictorally documented so well in CERA Bulletin 112. I guess all the North Shore fans are busy at IRM restoring and operating the real thing. Gary

Glad to see someone taking on CNS&M, Between you and me that'll be 2/3
of Insull's Chicago area empire.
Now if someone wants to take on South Shore we'll have Insull covered.

RE: North Shore Line

I am truely sorry. I totally forgot about the international nature of this forum. Although, there are at least six references that would tell one that I was refering to the CNS&M Rwy.In the future any such posts shall also include the following phrases:
"Route of the Electroliners"
"Interurban to Milwaukee"
"America's Fastest Interurban"
"Permanent holder of the 'Electric Traction' Speed Cup"
"Winner of the 1923 Charles A. Coffin Gold Medal"Please take this reply in jest. I'll remember next time.Gary

RE: North Shore Line

Gee, sorry that you had to click on another message! Deal with it, sport! Next time we'll all make sure that we don't inconvenience you like that again! It would be fair to say that there are far more CNS&M fans than Sydney North Shore. Go the route of the Electroliners!Cheers
