Even a diehard MBTA fan has to admit that the Breda sucks. They can't even stay on the tracks, supposedly not enough weight over the center truck so it bounces up and down. They were supposed to start service in what, 1997 originally? I rode one in June '99 and one in June '01, haven't seen one in-service since. Oh, the incompetence...The Boeings are loveable in a tough-guy way. Ah, the memory of having those plug doors slam on me once as a little kid, and with the driver right there. But that familiar traction-motor whine, buzz, whatever you want to call it, is unforgettable.Have they ever had problems with the Kinki-Sharyo Type 7s? Not that I recall...heck, they even ordered an extra 20 of them after the original hundred had been in service for 10 years. No visible mods other than the paint scheme and the wheelchair space...no wonder they dominate everything except the C line.Us and our LRVs...AlexPS - I just found a Gmax tutorial to work through. Maybe me and Matt Harter can have a Type 7 for train-sim before you know it! At the very least, I'll build some basic MBTA stations for use in a Green Line route...Amtrak Prototype & Model

RE: Kinki all the way!

When the Boeings first came out, I thought they were very cool. I was commuting to and from Boston everyday for school. But I never got the doors. I remmeber a motorman telling me to stay away from them because they would break your leg right off. I couldn't figure out why somebody would build something that could cause that much trouble. I still had a good time on those cars and they are definitely a part of my personal nostalgia.

Uh.....I think you're missing a few....

I'm not sure what the point of this poll is...It doesn't feature only N.A. LRV's, or even just American ones.It doesn't feature only LRV's available in MSTS.So, what's the point?Might I suggest that you modify it a little, to make it apply to most people.Dan
