Wayne Campbell graciously sent copies of his London & Port Stanley interurbans (Radials?) to the Portland Electric Power Co's property for try-outs on the old lines.E.1 passes PEPCO freight just south of East Portland Yards And E.1 passes Motor No. 2 at Oaks Park in Sellwood These are very fine cars and a pleasure to watch and drive. Great work Wayne! And thanks!!!Cheers!!Tim
So, Tim, how do you keep those pans from pulling down the overhead, but I guess with the pan above the messenger wire they aren't going much of anywhere .Another perfect example of the Kooks and Klowns who designed this program not having a klue. Pans and trolley poles go up to the wire and no higher as long as the wire is not above the maximum reach. But no, we are stuck with fixed height collectors.David Beach.Palouse & Lewiston
Hi David,You know, it'd be great if there was some way to make pans stop unfolding at 20' (6.4 meters), or 23', or make it adjustable to the routes' wire. I was talking to Chuck Zeiler about this very topic last night, and the possibility.Hmmmm.....Anyway, I just try to 'look the other way' while watching these sleek cars roll by. Tim
