Announcing my new route: Modern City Underground – image 2

It will be the part underground, part overground system of the Modern City, (but will be a separate route from MCT). The train in the picture is available from www.trainsimworld.de . If anyone replies to this post, please make a suggestion for a station name (could be from any underground system eg London, New York etc.)Ryan Fielding

RE: Announcing my new route: Modern City Underground

Could you tell me what the train is called on the site, since it's in German? Here are some station names from the MBTA: Alwife Science Park Cambridge Kendall Porter Hope this helps. Can't wait for the route, I need a subway route for my collection. Could you send the route and some underground trains to my e-mail, when it's ready, please? trainwhiz20@hotmail.com My computer is slow, so it would help reduce install time.

Click the Picture to download. The train in the pic is BVG-Typ H (Berliner-U-Bahn), at the bottom of the section.>Could you send the route and

RE: Announcing my new route: Modern City Underground

Sorry if I sound rude, but you guys are sort of missing the point of his question, he's looking for a few generic subway station names, not a list of your favorite stops on your home transit system. And at the very least you could have spelled the MBTA's station names correctly Let's see, they should be:
Alewife (not really underground, more like in a trench with a garage over it, end-of-line station with yard)
Lechemere (not underground but a light-rail reversing loop with yard)
Ashmont (not underground, end-of-line station with yard)
Revere Beach (not underground, has catenary)
Harvard (unusual split-level station with outbound on top and inbound below, also has a two-level underground bus station. Guess which university is nearby?)Newton Center and Riverside are both surface-level light-rail stations in suburban areas. Braintree is heavy-rail but is also surface-level. Science Park is elevated light-rail, as is North Station. However, a heavy-rail subway also services North Station with an underground "super-station" where the light-rail line will eventually be relocated to. South Station is a basic subway station with stairs to the Amtrak/commuter rail station on the surface. There is no Cambridge station. Kendall Square is unique for having a set of hand-operated amusements for commuters: chimes, a hammer that strikes a gong, and a metal sheet that rattles when shaken. Porter Square is very deep underground, with long escalators to the surface. Now, in my opinion, Downtown Crossing would be a good generic subway station name. Obviously, it would be a station where two subway lines crossed. State Street could be another one, in the government area of downtown. And finally, Boston doesn't have one, but at least a few American subway systems have stops called Metro Center, where two or more of their major lines cross. These stops are generally in the heart of downtown.Hope all goes well with the creation of your route!Alex StroshaneAmtrak Prototype & Model

They'll be about 20 stations on the route. So far there's Kings Cross and the beginning, 6 un-named down the line, theres Piccadilly Underground, Middlewood Underground, Croyden Underground, Blackpool Underground, Manchester Airport Undergound (since it's based in Modern City, a few from MCT have been used). 8 un-named down the line, theres Cyko St. (i'm using his stations for the overground parts). Thanks ccyko! Also why can't you use Flushing Meadows(no, Not toilet world) or Springfield (I think this is a fact:there is one in every state). I have not seen a map of the London undergroud but I am sure they have good names.-NHtrain
