Entering Chisholm from the east, the car stops traffic coming across the lake. The only stuff left is to build Hibbing, and scenic the steam roads. Hope to be done by Christmas.

RE: Mesaba Electric progress

Wow!Very nice work, Dave. I'm coming along with the animated cab for No 10, and it will be alot more realistic with animated controls and clearer views. I'll send a beta once I've solved some Targa problems with the images. Cabviews are tricky, but still infinitely easier than the evil route editor! Thanks for your work,Matt

RE: Mesaba Electric progress

1. The landscapers still have some more work to do around that bridge.
2. Wire height seems to be 19.5 feet. I thought it was set for 20 feet, but my metric conversion seems to have gone haywire. I could easily change the height in the editor, but all of the poles and span wires were designed for that height. I suppose if the shape files were changed on the poles, I could raise it, but they were a gift from Matt Austin, and he would have to be the one to modify them.

RE: Mesaba Electric progress

Thanks, I am not suggesting you should change. In fact, I think the result of my bit of research is that a 'standard' just may not be possible. I tried my L&PS at the recommended 20' and it just didn't look right - the pans were not extended enough and things didn't match the photos well. I need to be closer to 23' for things to look right. My interest in this is that I have a couple of 1920 interurbans to release and was trying to decide what height to set the pans at. I am pretty sure no one is using the 23' setting that I use so I wanted to post them with something more common. Wayne

RE: Mesaba Electric progress

Hey Dave,I'm happy to change the poles for you if you wish. I didn't realise that we lose 6" in the conversion from TSM to MSTS RE, with the rail height being taken into account. Please let me know if you want them higher. Oh yeah, great work! The cab is coming along too.Cheers,
Matt A

Hey Dave!
Good to see your progress! I really like that scene, the way the tracks merge onto the highway. Nice work!Tim
