Hi I downloaded the Canadian Pacific MLW C424 Pack by Gaeten Belanger and the Alco 244 sounds by Knut Randa without the turbocharging (I hope I spelt his name right right)and the generic Alco cab by Dwight Mitchell. I replaced the Cab Sound and Outside Sound lines in the .eng file from the C424 sounds to the Alco 244 sounds and replaced the C424.sms files in the sound folder with the Alco 244.sms files and the Sound Cruises of the 244 plus the x.sound cruises. When I tried the C424 out, it didn't work! Any theories or solutions? Thanks in advance.-Andy the LRC lover EMD all the way!!
Start by testing the sounds section of the files in Conbuilder and see what it comes up with, it sure has bailed me out plenty of times with issues like this.SeanK97
Is there any way you can do this without ConBuilder? I really don't feel like waiting a long time to download it. (That's assuming it's a big D/L)-Andy the LRC lover EMD all the way!!
Conbuilder is a 6M D/L, you could also put the Sim in Wondowed mode and turn on the soundtest, it will show you what it cannot find. Here is mine, using default folders: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\train.exe" -vm:w ,1024,768,32 -soundtestNaturally it is one line long, but it is a shortcut on the desktop.
