Here's a good one. I keep getting SMS errors with my AI sounds, saying there is a problem with the 'top layer.' The thing is, it only happens on Marias Pass (in Whitefish yard, specifically). Any other route and place and it's fine. They're all simplified versions of the non-AI sounds with 4 or 5 simple speed controlled streams (fewer than other AI soundsets I've seen, so that can't be the problem).I've checked the SMS files inside and out over and over again and they're fine.Ideas?"The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on. Hug an F40 before it's too late!"
Eric did you check the sound.cfg file in your global folder????? This sounds like the error you get when the game can't allocate enough streams to me.....Chuck Schneider Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and (Virtual) CEO
Willdo.Hehe, I'm in a good mood right now - Turns out with mic boost, my little mic is JUST powerful enough for me to record stuff that goes by here. I should have a bunch of recordings to use very soon...including the GE sounds I've been meaning to get.I guess I will have to put a warning reminding people they need to modify this file to get it to work properly."The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on.
