Every once in a while and for no apparent reason I experience sound crashes i.e.; loud distorted noises. I can get rid of the noise by switching from one view to another e.g.; from cab view to outside view and back. Help please.

RE: Sound crashes

Try running DXDIAG.
from your start menu > run > type in DXDIAG,
allow it to load, then under the sound tab, move the acceleration slider to 'no acceleration', close dxdiag then re try msts.hoping this helps,

Mark
