Hello,I'm having some trouble understanding bell controls. 1) At times, I can't get the bell to ring on steam engines, but diesel ones seem OK.2) What's the difference between the following? Bell ( 0 1 0 ) BellToggle ( 0 1 0 )DoesHornTriggerBell ( 1 ) I know how to use this to trigger the bell. Thanks for the help. Ted
Hi Ted: They enable the on-off for the cabs bell button. If you look in the .sms you may find the bell is at a very low volume. If it's 0.4 or less, change to 0.8 as a start. The max volume MSTS will read is 1.0, anything above 1.0 will default to 1.0 .Cyndi
Hi CyndiThanks for the tip. After checkig my problem thru some more, I discovered that the bell didn't work on the engines I had aliased to the Scotsman. Turns out that the Scotsman doen't have a bell, either as a wave file or in the sound files. It was made as a EUROPEAN engine, no bells. I searched the library and found that someone had fixed that by uploading a bell wave, some whistle waves, and 2 new Scotsman SBS files. I installed it and the bells are ringing (for me and my gal). (joke)I did have one engine file that had a bad BellToggle code.Ted
