In the Marias Pass route, you are required to whistle at the white "W" signs just before the grade crossings. The preferred signal is LONG-LONG-SHORT-LONG, with the final long blast held until your loco is in the crossing.I was driving Justin Cornell's GS4 American Freedom Train 4-8-4 Steamer on the Marias Pass and I tried to do a short blast but it sounded like a long blast. Also, when I went for the final blast through the crossing it sounded like this:WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO...How do I remedy the short whistle and loop the long blast?

RE: Whistles

I just found that you can not let horn less than about 1.5 seconds in MSTS, unless you use a fixed length horn (no sound marker). I will try use that add a short horn by using "B" key. (my loco don't need bell)http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID11/564.html
