Hello, I need some instructions to adding external sounds to the observation car of the 3DTS 3751 set. It's quite unrealistic in my opinion to only hear the clickety-clack of the cars going over the rails, so I would like to hear the engine sounds, too. Any help is appreciated.
One thing that you could do is copy all of the 3751's external sounds to a different folder, and go into that observation's car's .wag file, and find where it says "inside(". Find where it says something like "Genpassmodern.sms", or something like that, and change it to your new external sound alias. But if it's a medium-long consist, then you probably wouldn't hear the engine, anyways, but more or less just music and laughter and the sound of the car rolling along the tracks. --The FBL Commuter Edition!!!!!!---You can never have too much inner beauty. To add engine sound when you are in passenger view you must open the xxxeng.sms file of your loco and move passenger cam from Deactivate to Activate. Check also if you have enough streams available. For this look at following link.http://forums.atomic-systems.com/viewtopic.php?p=77321Carlo
Hi guys. How about if I wanted to hear the same rail sounds whilst in passenger view in a caboose that are listed in the sound line at the bottom of the wag file? At the moment I just hear general sounds whereas I'd like to hear the 3D sounds package non-welded rail sounds I have, which are heard in external views. I've tried adding the 3D sound line to the inside view line but this doesn't make any difference. Any advice please?Regards, Nick (UK)
