Encountered a wierd problem and need some help. Aliased John Fowler's older Pacific steam engine plus the later upgraded SP Pacific version to 3DTS's SF 3751 steam engine.
Cab view is fine but in the sounds arena I get no bell and no external exhaust sounds when the locos are run. I can hear other sounds like the whistle and tender sounds, but no ding-ding and no chug-chug. Have re-installed the engine and re-aliased several times with no improvement. Have also aliased then to the Scotsman and SPS-700 and didn't experience the problem! All sounds were OK. Strange!?! Odd thing about it is that it only happens on this one particular engine. Makes me think there is something within the engine files that is blocking the ailiased external sounds, but have no idea where to look. Again, it doesn't happen with any other steam engine aliased to the SF 3751. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this? Has this happened to anyone else with this engine...or others for that matter?
Sure would like to figure it out, but am not that conversant with engine files to know what to look for. Jon
