I don't know diddly about sounds but I was wondering if I could rig up a sound of cars coupling together to go off when cars couple up. Seems like a logical place to put a sound or 2. Thanks

If you aren't already getting couple / uncouple sounds while running the sim, I'd be surprised. Look in any 'filename.sms' file and you will see references to that feature. If your system isn't giving you those sounds, you may have your sound quantity slider set too low. Check the 'Sound' tab in 'Options', after the sim is loaded but before selecting a route.

RE: Sound Question?

That makes me wonder about another sound. Taking up slack. The coupler sound in MSTS sounds a little like the coupler bang you get when a train stretches out. I wonder if it could be added to freight cars as a slow speed beginning sound - might get old, but who knows - might be kinda neat!Mark
