44 Tonner Sounds – image 1

Hi,I was wondering if somebody out there knows where I can get some sounds for a GE 44 Tonner to go with my model, which I will be releasing in a few days. I need a peanut whistle, and maybe the engine sounds. I figure that I can use the GP38 sounds for the brakes and the air compresser as well as any other miscellaneous sounds. I would record the sounds myself, but the only GE in town is a 47 tonner, and it has been sold to a local museum . The trouble with that is that the museum is closed for the winter and the locomotive isn't running, well it does, but they aren't using it, I think it is being restored. Thanks

RE: 44 Tonner Sounds

If you're on the west coast... the Modoc Railroad Academy has a 44-tonner they they use at their field location north of Sacramento. I was thinking about taking some sounds of it while I was out there in September but was trying to not look like a foamer in case the director showed up(the instructor was OK with it).
I'd call the office first before just showing up tho.
