Volume Changes and making Chuffing in relation to wheel – image 1

I know some one did this for the Scotsman however I would like to make my sounds for other Steam engines that is the Chuffing to be controlled by the Wheel rotation and not to the Speed the locomotive is moving. and the second is I would like to turn down the Sanding sound and make some of the other Locomotive sounds louder cause when I have sanding on that is all I hear as I dont think the Sander made near that amount of sound. Hell it drowns out the whistle and I want to make the Wistle 3 times louder and the chuffing 3 times louder and make the Sanding 2 times Softer
How do I do thisDon Pottorff

RE: Volume Changes and making Chuffing in relation to w

Welcome to the world of .sms files and all their peculiarities. Yes, there is a volume variable (Volume(x)) that can be used to vary the relative volume of sound streams. X ranges from 0 to 1. It is usually placed after the Priority () variable.
As far as improved sounds for the Scotsman goes, you should consider downloading Stuart Williamson's 2 and 3 cylinder generic sounds from the UKTrainSim site (file id 2910). His work includes a much simplifed version of the .sms file for locos.
