I have just upgraded my old PIII_850 with GeForce2 GTS system.
To a P4 2.66ghz with a 128meg GeForce4 TI4200 card.
The Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8SG800 with 512megs Kingston Ram.
This Motherboard has onboard sound. (no sound card)
The sound is fine in everything else, in fact very nice.

But now when I first start MSTS up and the cab view first appears with sound, there is a short crackle burst, then it's fine, till I go from cab-view to outside view or other views.Any ideas as to what this may be.
Thanks.Regards,
John.

What kind of onboard sound is it? Check for an updated driver. Seems like my SoundMax onboard had an issues with DX8, or something, and required a new driver.
