Ok, this one should be a cinch for you geniuses...I am building my own line and test it out now and again. I have just bought ProTrain 3 and really liked the way the cab sounds were different as were the passenger car sounds...I only ever hear the sounds of US2 I think...how can I hear other sounds for the train running along the track and such? Each engine has its own sound...that's fine. But it's the noise of the train going along the track that is always the same...Is there any way to do this which doesn't involve massive changes to things?Any help would be much appreciated...

RE: Running sounds

The track-based sounds originate in the ttype.dat file contained in the main folder for each route. All you need to do is copy the ttype.dat file from one route folder to the other. Don't forget to first back up the existing ttype.dat file in the route you want to change (ie rename it to ttype_original.dat).I actually keep a few different ttype.dat files in my favourite routes, and swap them once in a while just for a bit of variety.Jeff
