I've recently started using passenger cars and noted an oddity.
Occasionally, the external sounds (cars rumbling / track noises) continue long after the train has stopped.
Can anyone help me on this?

RE: External Passenger Sounds

The default .sms's for the track and wagons use Distance_Travelled triggers to play some of the sounds. At high speeds this means that triggering occurs faster than there is time for the .wav files to play out. The result is that the sounds que up and can sometimes still be playing out by time you come to a rest. The solution is to increase the distances at which the triggering happens at.Try thishttp://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID11/108.html

RE: External Passenger Sounds

Thank you for the answer and the thread.
Very interesting indeed.
Based on your answer, the quick solution for me, at least, is to ease into stations and not apply the brakes so abruptly.
And it works! Easy does it.
Later on, I'll try playing around with the files to see what happens.
