Hi, Would appreciate any comments on the 3D Perfections sounds package. What do you like/dislike about it and is it a good add on to MSTS? How does it compare to the "default" sounds of MSTS? Thanks in advance for your comments.
I purchased the 3Dperfections add on sound pak and have found it to be well worth the money. Many different clear sounds to chose from so you can have that clean welded rail sound to the hammering on jointed rail. Just Rollin Down The Tracks Dale
Well, mine is in the mail. I just ordered it yesterday ... after listening to the sample clips on the 3D Perfection website, I just had to have it. I'll let ya know my opinion when my CD arrives.Ray Ray
This is the best add-on that I have ever purchased. The default train car sounds are just way too quiet. When I'm outside photographing trains, they are so loud that I can't hear myself think, and not just the engines, but the cars too, and I feel that MSTS never represented this properlly. The sounds are amazing, and it only takes about five minutes of file modifying to put them in all of your rolling stock .wag files. It is like owning MSTS for the first time all over again!Highly recommended! And oh yeah, the GP20's and rolling stock that it comes with are very well detailed and worth the $20 in their own right!
Thanks for the feedback everyone. My CD arrived in the mail today and I have been changing sounds in wag files for the last several hours after trying them out of course. These are great sounds and sure does bring the sim to "life". I am very pleased with the sounds so far and look forward to using the "non-welded" sound on the "branchline" like to Kalispell on Marias Pass 3.1 Thanks again everyone.
I really like it. I especially enjoy hearing the flange squeal. I use the random sound selection for my equipment. Definitely enhances the MSTS experience.
