please excuse me if this is already answered but i wanted to know if it is possible to play two or more files using an initial trigger. in reviewing ralf hagen's tutorial, he provides the example of 3 or more files but uses the RandomSelect method and not the SequentialSelection method. is it possible to play one wav file and then another without any other triggering event (all off the initial trigger) or am i trying to do something that's not possible?i put the two files in the code but it keeps playing the first one over and over and never recognizes the second file. thanks for any help you can providedale

I have tried to do what you've suggested but without success, so I've concluded it can't be done. But there has been a chap posting here in the past who claimed he has managed it, but has never disclosed how.

yes, you're right. most of the time you could do that. but there are some times when you would want to split them up. i have 30 minutes of radio chatter that i want to split up. it doesn't seem to want to load the whole file--i theorized it was because of memory limitations of MSTS. i wanted to split it up and experiment to see what the limitations were. but maybe it wouldn't work anyway and load all files in the loop at once and i'd be back at square one.but even in that case, i could more easily trade different files out if i got bored with the chatter and wanted to change it, i would change the content of the files and keep the file names the same in the sms file and get different chatter to listen to.hope that makes sense. probably someone more knowledgeable than me will say that it doesn't matter anyway--the memory limitations might still be the same as all files in the loop are loaded anyway instead of releasing them as they are played and then loading another.
