Hey Trouble, all, The horn wav in the SD40-2 file is a cool addition!! It is a DEAD ON recording of a.......NO, NOT IC...The BN horn it was delivered with when it began life as a BN unit!!! Now you folks have a proper BN/BNSF GP/SD horn to add to ALL of your units!! (AND us IC peeps too!!!)Now to get a recording of the old IC/G - GM&O horns!!! NICE job Troub!!!Kelley D. Ellison
If you really want a good k5la horn sound that is perfectly edited and recorded from a real loco...download the NS D8-32B in the library. Youll love it.
The K5LA isn't bad from that NS Dash 8-32B....but WHY does it have a GP20 cabview? I wonder if 3D Trains gave permission to use that cab.....their stuff IS copyrighted and I don't see any reference crediting them in the "Readme" files with the NS D8-32B. Just an alias to their GP20 cab in the .ENG file.
Yes their stuff is copyrighted I know that. But is any of their files in it? No; thats right. It actually encourages others to buy a product from them like a commercial for Pepsi when the famous people do whatever and encourage others to buy it. I would not do anything illegal like that either. I am not dumb and looking for trouble. Now there are aliases for 3DTS material out there and have no credit because the file is not present. <end>
