Howdy Folks, Can anyone help me with a missing sound problem on the Northeast Corridor version 4.There are now many grade crossings on the route. I have installed crossing gates and lights from the Marias Pass, USA2 route. I also copied the crossing.sms file, the sig_us_a.wav file, the sig_barriero.wav file and the sig_barrierc.wav file. All these files I placed in the Sound folder in the route just as it in in the Marias route. These 3 wav files are referred to in the crossing.sms file but no crossing bell sound is heard at the grade crossings. What am I missing? Any help appreciated as I do not want to release the route with a bug like this. Thanks is advance.
You may not be missing anything.Every sound has a priority which for environment sounds is low. Hence if the sim has used up all the available sound streams (which by default is only 60 total) then sounds don't get played. However you can have more streams than the default.http://forums.atomic-systems.com/viewtopic.php?t=8717
