I've got a weird problem here, In all exterior views w/ only one engine there are no eng sounds, only the ambient sounds, interior sounds are fine, If I hook up a car or another eng the sounds that I'm missing will play, But only if the ext view is focused on the second eng or car, Kinda like MSTS doesn't see the lead eng at all in the exterior views (sound wise) This happens on all routes, All engs (elec, steam, diesel) explore route or activities. Trouble shooting so far: I've uninstalled MSTS and reinstalled on a clean formatted HD stock installation no updates no added rolling stock,just bare bones MSTS and I still have the same problem. maybe something in registry (XP) still? I wouldn't know how to find out. Any one have any ideas what's causing this?

Never Mind..............MS got back quicker....Was Hardware accel. problem in DirectX......fixed.

turn the sound slider all the way left in the direct x diagnostic

Cometimes i get this problem too, like with the PRR S-2 Steam turbine Eng sounds (all) – image 4
