I got me WaveLab to master music with - and you sound guys must know how awesome WaveLab is? So then I's gets to thinking 'Those horn loops, bell loops, all loops just don't sound very good. Bet I can make them better!' So I haul them into WaveLab, and work like a madman on my CN F3, MSTS Dash 9, and I think a MLT CP engine? Trim off the exceess, crossfade looper to get the horns to sustain beautifully, relooped the bells better - NICE! So I fire up TS, and go to drive my Dash 9 and get a crossing 'Honk, Hoooooo*#*$^^@!*^#%!!' What the heck ws that? Better try the bell - 'Dong, Dong, ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!' Ooops! So the file thing is totally reliant on the sample length and loop points as well? Dag nab it! I'm no good with that programming stuff.Back to the ol' drawing board.
Never tried Wavelab so I don't know if thats the problem. Sample length should not be an issue that will cause problems. The most common screwups are 1.outside sounds must be in mono. Files start with an x-*.wav 2.Incab sounds should be in stereo *.wav 3. Sample rate must be 11025k and bit resolution must be 16 bit stereo or mono. 4. Check your loop markers, if a marker is left in a screwy place it will sound like all hell is breaking loose in the PC. Example; you have a marker at 0:04.125 and then edit the sample to 4 seconds even, the marker may still be there even though it should have been cut and will cause major problems. Hope that helps.
Yep, I really got fooling with the markers - and all hell certainly broke loose afterwards! Too bad, because I think I really did a good job on those loops? Oh well. I just got into the library, and noticed many have already done alot of fix up's for engine sounds, so I snagged all those and will overwrite the current ones I messed up so bad. (I hope?)But WaveLab is seriously cool for ANY type of audio app.
