Hi! I have the ETA package. It is a good approximation of how non-welded track would sound. However I am not happy with the fact that there is one sound file for a pair of the clacks, and that it is played equally fast at every speed of the train. Let me try a drawing, time on the horizontal, volume on the vertical axis: 40 km/h: ---I-I-------------I-I-----... 80 km/h: ---I-I-----I-I-----I-I-----...I would like to have this: 40 km/h: ---I---I-----------I---I---... 80 km/h: ---I-I-----I-I-----I-I-----...Is it possible? Cheers! Mark
What your asking for is possible but I believe with ETA it would mean replacing their recordings with your own, or others if you could get them. However there is now an alternative .Take a visit over to www.UKTrainsim.com an you will find UKSteamTrack in the upload library. This is by myself and Jeff Ashton, and places the track joint sounds in the coach .sms, not in the track sound regions. The advantage with this approach is that soon we will have correct track joint sounds for wagons as well .
Thank you, I'll try your sounds. Actually I tried to figure out the logic behind this "roling" sound in TS but id does not seem too intuitive to me. In fact I couldn't even find which files configure and play those .wavs... //Mark
