Here's a problem:
I have a recording of a train approaching a crossing.
I chose a horn blast with minimal background noise and I used it for the horn sound. I had it resampled and when i placed my cue points i mad three. I deleted the first one because G.W. starts at 0 and MSTS starts at 1. I had a cue near the beginning when the horn was sounding, and a cue at the end right before he lets off of it. I tried it in the sim and I got one blast, no looping. I held the space bar down and it was still one blast, stop, and another blast.
It would not loop. I opened a default MSTS dash 9 horn and looked at it, and it had about 7 cues spaced out equally. So I tried it, and got the same result, no looping. What am I doing wrong.P.S. DeweyMitch, I aint forgot about you, just having a lil trouble right now with it. I'm trying for Thursday because its only a three day work week, yippee!!!!

RE: Horn Not Looping

I am having a looping problem also with one of my horns. I can't figure it out. What are and how do I put "cues" into a sound file?

Yo Cotton Belt (SSW)
you wrote: <<P.S. DeweyMitch, I aint forgot about you, just having a lil trouble right now with it. All I'm hearing in my sleep are Nathan M3 horns in a continous loop . (Think I'll write Steven King about a book promo "The Train Horns From Hell")
I "think" I'm getting nearer to the end. I've enlarged GW to the max and started playing with start and end points one waveform at a time. You don't do this in a few minutes.
I tries contacting KUJU to find out any inside secrets and all I got was to check out train-sim.com forums, so guess where I am. If I make any real knee knocking discoveries I'll post 'em here If I don't end up in the padded room doing toot toots. Here is another mystery from the black hole of MSTS: If I put my display settings to the max the horns sound better. GO figure. Maybe it's my 49 year old ears, or maybe it's me wanting it to sound better or maybe it's a different brand of Scotch. Dwight.........
