Hi all. I'd like to replace the generic reverser sound on a steam loco froma oneshot click to a controllable sound (similar to the whistle). Why? I'm modelling CP steam. CP steam locos had a power reverser that could be moved quickly with compressed air via a small toggle above the reverser wheel.. It sounds a bit like an air-wrench. I'd like to set it up to sound while holding down the reverser keys.. I supose I need to know if the trigger numbers are tied to the key commands and iif I need to make a enw stream, using the same trigger numbers as the oneshot section for controls in the sms file.. Any ideas? Thanks Harold
RE: Need help or input on converting a sound from one-shot in SMS
The looping whistle uses two triggers, one for key pressed down and one for key released. One_shots usually only use one trigger, for key pressed own. The asigning of these keys seems to be hardcoded into the sim, so mapping new ones doesn't seem possible. Given these facts then I don't think a controlled loop would be possible.
