This weekend I decided to learn the Cab Editor, but am unable to open most existing cvf files without calling home. I can open the dash9 and sd402 files, ok, but not the 3DTS SD70 files, among others. Am I missing something here, or is it just good ol' MSTS quality?I tried to modify the dash 9 file by adding and deleting some displays, but the saved changes screw up the cvf file, so that some displays come up missing when I try to run it. Previously, I had always made cab view changes by brute editing of the cvf txt file. Thanks in advance.fwbryan1 (formerly known simply as fwbryan).
You are not alone. I can only open default cabs in the editor. The only work around I found was to create a new cabview and copy the information from the .cvf to it and use Save As. Even then, after opening it several times, it won't open. I find "brute editing" to be alot easier anyway.Cyndi"Where have all the flowers gone"
