I have jusd downloaded and started using EMD cabs and I have to say I think they are outstanding. The very best I have yet driven. I want to I would like to give Don a semi-fromal and deeply heartfelt attaboy and thanks for providing such beautiful and useful creations. The install was dirt easy and everything worked right out of the box. I have started modifying the highnose cab for for each particular engine in my fleet (mostly SD9's and GP9's), then put both the "cabview" .ace file and the .cvf file each engine's cabview folder. The .cvf is modified on the "cabview" line to call the local .ace file and every thing else is aliased from the folders in \common.cab\emd\ folders. Very good. I highly reccomend them to anyone driving high nose EMD equipment. They are an excellent combination of realism and useability and are a joy to use for local switching operations. One thing I found out though. While doing front coupling ops I decided the cabview is too far forward for the particular engine (the GN GP9m from the file library) I am using. OK, I can deal with that. I know that there is a set of parameters somewhere -- the .cvf I think -- that controls that. Hmmmmmmm . . . Think I'll tiptoe through the forum . . . Sure enough, after all of two minutes searching I found the info I needed. I'm sorry I forgot the name of the fellow who posted that info (I did post to thank him in the thread I found his post), but it got me to thinking about how much good info is here and how much I admire the ability and effort of everyone who has learned and taken the time and effort to share his knowledge. Thanks to all of you.Brad Meyer
