RE: need a few hints about the alerter.

The alerter should reset itself when any engine control, horn, bell, throttle, etc is activated or z key is pressed. The only thing I can think of to check is the MonitoringDeviceResetLevel line in the Vigilance Monitor section of your .eng file. Try setting it to ( 0 ). Also check at the bottom of the file for proper settings
ie: Vigilance ( 0 1 0 ). Hope this helps you. In the below example the alerter will activate after 45 seconds of no activity. After 59 seconds it will apply the emergency brake and cut power. Pressing any control before 59 seconds will reset the monitor.VigilanceMonitor(
MonitoringDeviceMonitorTimeLimit( 59 )
MonitoringDeviceAlarmTimeLimit( 45 )
MonitoringDevicePenaltyTimeLimit( 0 )
MonitoringDeviceCriticalLevel( 0 )
MonitoringDeviceResetLevel( 0 )
MonitoringDeviceAppliesFullBrake( 0 )
MonitoringDeviceAppliesEmergencyBrake( 1 )
MonitoringDeviceAppliesCutsPower( 1 )
MonitoringDeviceAppliesShutsDownEngine( 0 )

RE: need a few hints about the alerter.

Well ....... almost. In the real world most control movements or button pushes will reset the alerter. For some reason I have not found the Sim to reset when moving the dynamic brake lever. Other controls do seem to work as they should. Another Kuju bug?krswen
