In all of my downloaded units with custom cab the cab looks like my engine is on a curve but I'm not. I can't see the track or any think in front of me unless my train is turning right. How can I fix this? 12 yearold Virginia railfan
I'm not sure, but try experimenting with the line in the cvf file that has to do with the angle of the cab.Robert Learmont North Minnesota Virtual Cabview WorksDon't bother reading it! Hey! On the MSTS box, it says "For entertainment purposes only." No wonder that it was so much harder to control than WC's SD45 sim!
Is that the only cab affected? Changing the value of the cab cam FOV in the camcfg file will affect the angle of the cabview, but it will affect all cabs in the sim. I have not researched the cab file for views, but I do believe there are values for the direction the cabcam faces. I will let you know if I find anything. Could you post a screenshot of the problem cab?Bob
Hi, I hope I understand your problem. I've had similar problems before myself. If it's what I think it is, run MSTS Activities & Tools. Select Cab Editor. Load the cab for the train in question (I've found some won't load up using cab editor for some unknown reason). Under Files, select cab properties. Play around with the numbers for the cab positions. This will change the viewing angles of the train in relationship to the track.
