Here is hy first attempt at editing a cab. I have changed areound NALW's modified Dash 9 cab to have instrumentation more like that of an AC4400, with a tractive effort meter instead of an ammeter. I also added a fuel gauge, and I moved around some of the existing instruments. Bear in mind that I have not yet finished editing the cab. Any comments or suggestions?Jonathan Nikiforovs.

I could use it. I like the fuel gage. Too bad real locomotives don't have them! What route is that?

Whadaya mean they don' have fuel gauges? Below is a picture of a CRT display on a CP AC4400 I pulled off an article on the Canadian Ministry of Transportation website.
BTW, that screenshot was taken on the Full Bucket Line.ETIT: Can some one tell me what that graph display above the reverser display, TE display, and throttle display is? It looks like an ammeter, but I thought ACs didn't have them? Jonathan Nikiforovs.

It shows, in graph form, the kilotons of tractive effort you are applying to the wheels; It shows up in green to the right of the "0" if your are working power and in yellow to the left of the "0" if you are in dynamic braking...

Pretty Nice looking cab Jon!
It looks almost exactly like the version 2 NALW cab we are beta testing at this time....
SamSpade has built a ac4400 variant for us from the dash 9
and I have produced an AC4400 sound mod to the FDL sound package....Chuck Schneider

Okay, here is the "almost" final version. Just a few minor tweaks to be done. I may add a road number, by creating a "useless" display on one of the CRTs. This would require each loco to have a separate .cvf file, though. Note also how I have added alpha channeling to the headlight switch?
BTW, that loco on the left is one of my new Full Bucket AC4400s (using NALW's model). I will release them as soon as my permission request is replied to. I will not be releasing the cab however, as it would be redundant in light of the fact that NALW is releasing their own AC4400 cab.
BTW Chuck, your group's GE freight models are actually better than I gave them credit for earlier, as I discovered now that I have become more familiar with them. (read this link for my full critique, http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/17863.html ) The textures included with the GE megapack however, have lots of room for improvement (no offence to whoever created them) Jonathan Nikiforovs.
