RE: Cabview- seems slow

I reckon it's the field of view that the cab camera uses ... The FOV is set in a file called camcfg.dat which you can find in the Global folder ... You can open the file up using wordpad and here is a section of my camcfg.dat file as an example ..camera ( CamTypeCab
CamType ( CamTypeCab CamControlViewSwitch ) CameraOffset ( -0.51231 4.28496 10.0387 ) Fov ( 60 )
ZClip ( 0.5 )
WagonNum ( 0 )
Description (Cab_Cam)
)
You can see my cab cam is set with a fov of 60 degrees .. If you increase the number you get a wider field of view with different perspective ... backup first and then have a play with it!
I'm sure the sensation of speed increases the wider you set the fov... like a wide angle lens ..
Ok.. that's my take on it .. I now await correction jv

RE: Cabview- seems slow

JV,
Thanks for the reply and you ARE correct.I was familiar with the camconfig on all other cameras, I never tried the cab cam. I just tried some new FOV settings on the cab cam (30&90) and found myself going down the R.O.W. sideways... LOL.. just have to widen the route now ! Thanks Again !! KRO52
