Is there a cabview out there that would match this loco to some degree? I know one hasn't been specifically made for this thing, but thought perhaps another loco might have a cabview that would be better than a GP38 or modern GE cab.

look for Dash7Cab.zip in the download section. I like it. (Added) It loads into the Common.Cab folder, and has alias .cvf files so you can use it with any loc.

RE: BQ23-7 cab

Yeah, I've got that one already, but it's designed for a "spartan cab" rather than a "wide cab." I'm gonna try the NSdash9 cab that came with a set of 4 NS locos to see what I think of it. I've already got it set up in my common.cab folder, too, so it won't be hard to switch to something else if I decide I don't like it. It's probably too "modern," but I haven't found anything else I'd rather use.

RE: BQ23-7 cab

Clayton, I think you are just going to have to settle for the NS cabs. I looked around also for this and it is the best. This is such an oodball engine, unless someone is extrememly bored I don't think we will get the right cab for it.Kevin Arceneaux

RE: BQ23-7 cab

OOPS! Missed the "Q."
At the risk of stepping on my tongue again, there was a file for a Dash 8 wideview with analog gages. It was dash8cab.zip if it's still there. I unpacked it, but hever plugged it into anything, so I don't know what it looks like, or if it is similar to what you need.
If it's not still in the D/L's, I could email it to you - send me a "private note" with an e-mail address.
