What can I edit in the ENG file to get a passenger view for the sd40-2, Dash 9, and gp38-2? How do I add sounds to the passenger view?

Robert Learmont, Future and Current BNSF Engineer ( I have driven a locomotive but I am only 11 and 11/12 years old.

Okay Robert, as long as you promise to make a backup of everything you change! This is what I add to the *.eng file, let's say the GP-38,
Use word-pad to open and look for the line Maxbrakeforce and underneath that line place this piece of code; Inside (
PassengerCabinFile ( GP38.s )
PassengerCabinHeadPos ( 1.20 3.65 4.70 )
RotationLimit ( 30 160 0 )
StartDirection ( 0 0 0 )
Sound ( "GP38Cab.sms" )
)Now for the PassengerCabinFile, there you can add the S file of your choice. Just look for the S file what it's called. The PassengerCabinHeadPos first numbers(1.20) are; 1 is for the right, 0 is in the middle and -1 is to the left in this case 1.20 so that's a little bit more to the right. The second part is the height(3.65), that's the eye-point of view.
The higher the number the higher you go, and lower numbers take you lower. And the last numbers(4.70) are the distance from 0, the middle, so the higher the number the further you go to the front, if you put a minus sign in front of it you go to the back. Play around with that to get the correct view. The RotationLimit is well the way your head rotates, the first number(30) is how for you can tilt the head up and down, the higher the number the further you can look up and down. The second number(160) are the degrees you can look left or right. If you know a circle has 360 degrees then you can figure out how much you can go left or right. The last number(0) is tilting the head but you wouldn't use that cause that creates weird effects! you can even look up side down! If you're bored play with that.StartDirection is if you change the middle zero into like 180 you would look behind you as.. indeed start direction .. If you leave that you will start looking forward.Save it if you're happy with the result.Okay, now for the sound!
Go to the sound folder and look for the cab sms file, open it with word-pad and look for this: ScalabiltyGroup and underneath that it says: activation. now add after cabcam () passengercam ()
Don't forget those ( ) because they are important.
Now delete that word passengercam () in the line deactivation. That's it, save and play! And if it doesn't work give me a holler and I'll send you the changed files.Best regards,
Richard.
