Is it possible to do a brake pipe flow meter with MSTS? The Australian B class has one of these and I would like to have it operating if possible. --Victorian Railfan Web Site: http://www.railpage.org.au/vr/
Not very easily! Graeme tried it at my instigation on our dash 7 cab.... The theory was that we would make it an "inverse" of the train line pressure guage... The only problem is that if you make it work backwards to the train-line guage then the needle wants to move across the bottom of the guage instead of the top.... after much fooling around we decided that an acceleration meter (accelerometer) was more usefull so we have tended it put those where the flow meter would be.... You'll note on the new sd40-2 cab that TA made it a dummy guage... if I had to guess because they ran into the same problems we did....

Thanks for your reply Chuck, I thought this was the case. Hopefully this is something that Micro$oft will fix up in MSTS2. --Victorian Railfan Web Site: http://www.railpage.org.au/vr/
It's not a bad idea, but then it would probably look more obvious that something isn't quite right if one needle works while the other one doesn't. :-/--Victorian Railfan Web Site: http://www.railpage.org.au/vr/
