Howdy all.I'm working on a CP Rail mod for the new SD40-2 cabview. I've got the nose color changed ok, but have run into a small snag. Everything works fine except the independent brake lever. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the thing to move. (No animation will show in the cabview)Anyone have any ideas??Trouble with SD40-2 Cabview Mod – image 2Ray
PS: If anyone wonders, I'm trying to use the cabview with MLT's CP Rail SD40's from the KHP route. The cabview is aliased via the CPRequired folder.

RE: Trouble with SD40-2 Cabview Mod

The culprit is a line in the engine file (*.eng) for the loco you are using. I can't recall exactly what it says but don't bother messing with the cabview (*.cvf) file, there is no problem with it. Compare engine files with the Sd40-2 and you can figure it out. Trust me, I learned this the hard way......KH

RE: Trouble with SD40-2 Cabview Mod

I'll save you the trouble, here are the original coordinates for the cabview position:x 1
y 3.862
z 8.8These will put the cabview in the prototypical position. They got altered as a comprimise to increase visibility.Conn McCarthy

RE: Trouble with SD40-2 Cabview Mod

I have trouble following this as I am not sure which file to edit and how to edit the file to change the cab view. I have had what I thought was a good search of the eng file and the cabview file without any luck. Any suggestions welcome, pleaseThanks
