I have greatly enjoyed John Peterson's excellent U23 model...... and what better way to heighten the enjoyment than to cruise in a custom cab. Still have a little minor "tweaking" to do to get everything "just so".....and a little cosmetic touching-up, but otherwise, fully functional.Custom U23 Cab – image 2Custom U23 Cab – image 3Custom U23 Cab – image 4TIP: Here's a neat trick I used when trying to decide just how much of my own loco would be visible through the windshield........ Edit the coordinates in the eng file for the heads-out display - so that when you press the arrow for heads-out, it pops you through the front of the windshield instead of the side window......then take a screen grab.Photos of the original repaint previously posted at: http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumlD8/3169.html http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumlD8/3161.htmlCustom U23 Cab – image 5

RE: Custom U23 Cab

Yeah, pretty cool. Sort of looks like "japimation," but the angled parts are very nice. I could get used to it (after I painted over the calender to keep the wife from getting after me. . . ) Good work!Clayton

Very nice! It looks "cartoonish" rather than photorealistic, but I like it just the same. Do you think that you can do a version without the engine hood and hand rail visible, so I can use it on other locomotives?

RE: Custom U23 Cab

I seem to remember saying something about melting all the butter in Mr. Barliman Butterber, proprietor of the Prancing Pony in Bree, if he failed to deliver a certain missive to a Mr. Underhill, from The Shire, upon his arrival at said establishment. I fail utterly to recall any instance of a letter given to Bombur, of the Company of the late Thorin Oakanshield on any occasion...but than again, perhaps my love of the Halfling's Leaf ha dimmed my wits.LOLGandalf
