Hi all,I've been working on animated cab controls. I finally made a .bmp file with nine images of a controller handle in the various positions, but when I try to convert it to a .tga file useing TGATool2, all I get is a blurry image, like static on a TV screen. This occurs both in the main image and the alpha image. I'm not sure what is going on, but I don't know how to make a .tga then an .ace without this happening. Ive used TGATool2 countless times and never had this problem. Would anyone be interested in converting it for me? Any help is appreciated, and the traction community will be most happy!ll the best, Matt
Matt, what I do is create the BMP mask in PSP7, save as the alpha channel then save the whole thing as a non-compressed TGA (check the options under Save As TGA). I've had problems with wierd images if the file is compressed. I'd bet that's the cause of your problem. Then use TGATOOL2 to load the TGA and output as an ACE (alpha or trans). This seems to work for me no matter what size BMP I create for the animation frames. If the above doesn't help, I'd be glad to try and convert it for you. How big is the BMP file (just so I know if I can receive it as email).Regards, Jimi
Thanks for the advice Jimi. I'm not much good at PSP7 but I'll try it out. I've created a .zip file of the two .bmp files which works out at 46k. Please e-mail me at msa_vianney@hotmail.com if this suits you. Thankyou for your help, you'll get appropriate credit.Cheers, Matt A
