Just uploaded, so it should be in the file library by end week. Look for S30000V1.zip. Some screenshots of the night time cab are below. Unfortunately the compression and conversion (to meet the 100K limit) loses much of the subtelty, but I hope you get the idea. Created using 3D CanvasPro and POV-Ray to simulate external and in-cab lighting sources and effects. Some tweaking with PSP7 to backlight the gauges and create softer illumination of display readouts and switches. This was fun to do. My thanks to many of you in this forum for your inspiration and advice.Does this do the trick? If not, what can I do to improve it?Regards, JimiFRONT LEFT RIGHT
Yep !!! That's the ticket.. it's been great following the development of the night-time cab concept . Bit of a triumph with these cabviews bud!! It's gonna feel warmer on a cold winter's night in this cab for sure ) jv
Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I did this mostly for my own amusement and to learn more about 3DC and POV_Ray. That other people appreciate the outcome gives me a very good feeling. I hope those that download it enjoy it.My next project is a cab for the excellent London Underground R-stock train (which, I think currently aliases the 2000). I've located some good in-cab photos to work from.Best regards, Jimi
