Thanks for your advice, I tried, but I couldn´t solve the problem. What ´ve I done:First I de- an reinstalled the MSTS. I also installed all updates. Then I took the cab of the HHP. Now I added in the cab all possible displays (sand, overspeed ...). Because of there was no file for the sand I took f.e. the *.ace - file of the wheelslip and so on. I also installed an additional sand, emergency and brake-display so that I ´ve two of each.
At the end I installed the display for the throttle. Can this ´ve only two positions (0,1) or must it ´ve the same positions as the throttle lever ? It was too late at night when I got this idea and ´ll try it today after work.
Then I saved the file, and closed the editor. After this I opened the explorer and changed the values of the train-brake-lever. I don´t know why, but when I change a cab I´ve to write the NumPositions and -values directly once again. The editor changes all values to zero. (6,0 0 0 0 0 0).
When I now start the MSTS it works till I choose my loco. The loco ´ll be loaded till only 3 bars in the line left over. Then the MSTS crashes and if I want to play again I´ve to start the PC once again.any ideas,Markus

I'm not sure if this helps much, but every time you add a new control or display you have to add 1 to the number in the following line in the .cvf file:CabViewControls ( 25In this case, the cab has 25 controls and displays, and you would need to increment the 25 by one for every control you added. This might be why you're adding things and they're either not showing up or crashing the sim. I've already made cabs with well over 30 different controls or displays without any problems.

RE: Hi SamSpade - disply limits

There are a couple of thngs you haven't said in your description. When you say you are using the HHP cab, are you editing a copy?
Are you editing a copy in the HHP folder?
Are you copying the cab to another folder (...\MyTrain\Cabview)?
What train eng name is in the parent folder? One thing you must do to match values is make sure that the EngineData ( ) entry matches the filename of the <mytrain>.eng file in the parent folder. This is where the editor picks up values for controls and displays. If there is any mis-match here the editor will produce the results you describe. -------SamSpade--------
