Hi folks ! ;DTo animate a lever you ´ve to describe how many frames the lever has and the several positions of the lever in the *.cvf file. Who knows which number is assgined to which task ?
And whats the connection of the NumValues to the NumPositions ?f.e.:NumFrames ( 12 4 3 )
NumPositions ( 5 0 1 9 10 11 )
NumValues ( 5 0 0.2 0.85 0.9 0.95 )
any ideas ?RD

RE: Brakes in *.cvf

Hey, my man.The settings in the cvf file for the brakes (and throttle and dynamics etc) relate to the settings in the locos eng file.To disect your example:NumFrames ( 12 4 3 )
NumPositions ( 5 0 1 9 10 11 )
NumValues ( 5 0 0.2 0.85 0.9 0.95 )NumFrames: The graphic file contains 12 pictures in a grid 4 across by three down (4x3=12).NumPositions: This is defined in the eng file and these values are transferred to the cvf file. The brake usually has 5 positions and represents Released, Hold, Lap, Supression and Emergency. 5 = the number of points eg released, hold, etc.0 1 9 10, 11 represent the number of the graphic element displayed for this setting. The sim displays the intervening graphic on whim.NumValues: 5 = the number of values which must match the number of graphic positions. The values which follow are the settings actually used when the brake handle is moved to a given position. So in the sim, move the brake handle to Supression, the control will display element # 10 of you graphic file, counted across then down; and apply 90% of the max braking value defined in the eng file. -------SamSpade--------
