RE: BNSF dispatchers on Stike

LAST EDITED ON Mar-02-05 AT 06:28 PM (EST)

It's affecting BNSF's Metra line.
http://www.metrarail.com/Service_Updates/All service was halted around 4:30, then service started up about half an hour later. Delays of up to an hour.It was funny because the news people were talking to a Metra spokeswoman, and the news crew didn't know the difference between a dispatcher and an engineer. They wondered how the trains started moving again while the engineers were on strike! I'm not sure if any Amtrak or freight had to stop, as none stopped right in front of me while I was railfanning this afternoon on the Metra BNSF.All trains seem to be moving now, my friends who live along the line tell me.Joe LeMay

RE: BNSF dispatchers on Stike

Maybe thats why I haven't heard many trains on K line. Would that be affected?
